Castro Plaza Fountain / Castroville, California.

Castro Plaza Fountain, designed for the community of Castroville, showcases both the artichoke industry. The artichoke motif is carved onto the fountain base and center pedestal. A globe of the world in mounted prominently at the top of the fountain.

Water flows first from the North Pole onto four kneeling children with outstretched hands pointed towards the four cardinal directions and then from their hearts, through their hands, offering the gift of water.
